Overview
Discover the best of Sri Lanka on this 3-day journey from Negombo, taking in the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, a thrilling elephant safari at Udawalawe National Park, and the scenic coastal beauty of Bentota.
Embark on an unforgettable 3-day adventure through Sri Lanka's most celebrated destinations. Beginning in Negombo, your journey takes you south along the coast to the magnificent city of Galle, home to a stunning 300-year-old Dutch Fort now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll along ancient ramparts, explore colonial-era architecture, and soak in the unique blend of European and South Asian heritage.
The second day brings you to Udawalawe National Park, one of Sri Lanka's premier wildlife sanctuaries and the only place in the world where an elephant sighting is virtually guaranteed on every safari. Trek through the lightly vegetated terrain around the 308.2-sq-km Udawalawe Reservoir and encounter wild elephants in vast herds, along with buffalo, sambar deer, spotted deer, giant squirrels, and the occasional elusive leopard. Elephant-watching here rivals even the most celebrated East African game parks.
On the final day, your exploration continues along the coast to beautiful Bentota, where you'll cruise along the serene Madu River through a labyrinth of mangrove islands, visit a sea turtle conservation hatchery, and browse the government-approved Bentota Bazaar for local crafts, batik, and wooden carvings before returning home.
